Extremely smooth for a black loose-leaf Pu-erh (pronounced POO-er), it is also known as a 'post-oxidized', or "cooked" (to the Chinese) Pu-erh. Visit our Pu-erh page and read the introduction to learn more. Distinctly earthy, with an unmistakable aged flavor. Robust and full - surprisingly tasty with milk.
1.0 oz. of this loose-leaf tea makes approx. 14 cups.
BREWING INSTRUCTIONS: To brew 8 ounces of Pu-erh Queen tea, one teaspoon of dry leaf goes into an infuser and placed in your mug. Water anywhere between 195° and boiling is poured into the mix. Now be patient for 3 minutes (or longer, if you want it black as coffee), then remove the infuser and drink. If the cooler water temperature or shorter steep time is used, this stuff can be infused 3 times!
POTFUL: One dry teaspoonful per 8 oz. to be brewed is added to the infuser and then into the pot. Please steep it all with the appropriate amount of water which is between 195° and boiling for 3 to 10 minutes, depending on your flavor preference: longer/hotter is stronger, of course! Remove the infuser before drinking and be sure to re-steep if you've used a shorter steep time and/or cooler water.
