Distinctly earthy, with an unmistakable aged flavor. Loamy notes and the added spice of ginger root make this a unique brew,
for tea and coffee lovers alike. Robust and full.
Extremely smooth for a black loose-leaf Pu-Erh (pronounced POO-er), it is also known as a 'post-oxidized', or "cooked" (to the Chinese) Pu-Erh. Visit our Pu-Erh page and read the introduction to learn more.
1.0 oz. of Ginger Queen makes approx. 14 cups of tea.
BREWING INSTRUCTIONS: To brew 8 ounces of Ginger Queen tea, one teaspoon of dry leaf goes into the infuser, which is then placed into your mug. Water anywhere between 190° and boiling is poured into the mix. Now be patient for a minimum of 3 minutes - longer, if you want it black as coffee - then remove the infuser and drink. If cooler water or shorter steep time is used, this stuff can be infused 3 times!
A potful: Insert a teaspoonful for each cup you wish to brew, plus one, into your infuser, put that in your pot, and add the appropriate amount of 190° or hotter water for that number of cups. Let the entire mixture steep for a minimum of 3 minutes, remove the infuser, and serve. The hotter your water is and/or the longer you let it steep, the darker and richer your brew will turn out.
