Eiju is a delightfully well-balanced blend of the widely popular Yabukita and three other tea varietals. Throughout 2-3 infusions flavors gradually arc over buttery umami and vegetal asparagus to fruity apricots and a lingering bouquet, with soft astringency. Eiju, pronounced ‘AY-joo,’ mildly translates from Japanese to “forever happy.”

Ingredients:

Japanese Green Tea.

BREWING INSTRUCTIONS (8 oz. serving)

  1. Scoop two teaspoons of Eiju green tea into your infuser.
  2. Heat water to 175° (just before boiling).
  3. Pour 8 oz. of water over tea leaves.
  4. Steep tea for 2-3 minutes (depending on taste preference).
  5. Remove infuser and enjoy tea.

POTFUL:

Simply add to your infuser two teaspoons of Eiju per 8 oz. of water and place it in your pot, then add the appropriate amount of 175° water and let it steep for 2 to 3 minutes. Remove the infuser and serve!

ICED TEA INSTRUCTIONS:

As with some of our other extremely fine loose-leaf teas, we do not recommend drinking Eiju over ice.
