Black Tea | Certified Organic

2 oz. of loose leaf brews approx. 28 cups.
This orthodox black tea hails from the Tonganagaon
Estate, in the state of Assam, northeastern India. Tonganagaon is an exceptionally malty, smooth black tea, with little astringency. It is a fantastic example of an Assam tea and we are pleased to have a relationship with this estate. As an ideal breakfast tea, it
can be enjoyed with or without milk and sweetener. Though the leaves
are a broken grade (GBOP, or Golden Broken Orange Pekoe), its flavor is
rich and full without bitterness. The tea is Certified Organic and carries a Rainforest Alliance certification.

Simply add to your infuser one heaping teaspoonful of leaf per 8 oz. of water and place it in your pot, then add the appropriate amount of 190° water and let it steep for 3 to 5 minutes. Remove the infuser and enjoy. Also delicious with a touch of milk and sugar.
Our opinion is that a cooled concentrate works best, as regular-strength brew tends to become watery as the ice melts. So, use the above leaf quantities, but half the water, allow it to cool, then pour it over ice and enjoy. The brew will dilute down to proper strength as the ice melts.
